2023 marks the ninth year of the Peer Mentor program at Bay Area Girls Rock Camp!

Peer Mentors are youth ages 15-18 who have participated in at least two Bay Area Girls Rock Camp Programs and are interested in co-coaching a band and/or co-teaching an instrument with an experienced BAGRC adult volunteer as well as helping out during the showcase.

​

Help out during one or all sessions! It's ideal that you are available all six days of a camp session (camp week & showcase day) during the entire time frame listed, but let us know if something different is more feasible for you!

 

Location: The required training and camp weeks will be Tuesday-Saturday at Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts, 1428 Alice Street in Oakland.  Showcases will be Sundays at TBD time and location.​

Required Training: Sat June 3rd, approximately 10-5pm (additional dates TBD)​

​

Co-Instrument Instructor: 9:15am-12:45pm

and/or

Co-Band Coach: 1:45pm-5:30pm

Showcase helper: time TBD

Session 1: June 6-10 camp week, June 11 showcase

Session 2: June 13-17 camp week, June 18 showcase

Session 3: June 27-July 1 camp week, July 2 showcase
